Kristen Jex
LCMHC, NBCC, M.COUN.
I believe meaningful change begins with connection — to yourself and to the people around you. As a counselor, I help adults and couples strengthen those connections while discovering their resilience, clarity, and capacity for growth. I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, addiction, codependency, spirituality concerns, and grief, and I welcome BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals into my practice.
My approach blends evidence-based practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Nonviolent Communication, Somatic Experiencing, and the Gottman Method. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and serve as an approved MFT training supervisor through the Utah Association for Marriage & Family Therapy.
Having grown up across diverse cultures, I bring curiosity, openness, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience. It’s an honor to walk alongside my clients as they create lasting, meaningful change.
